Faith I was talking on the phone with my sister over the weekend. She lives in Atlanta , or actually Roswell , Georgia to be more exact. You know you're getting older when you ask someone how they're doing and the next 20 minutes of conversation consists of describing various medical conditions and pains. Her husband was very sick a couple of years ago and now his mother is in the hospital. My sister, who's in the second half of her 50's, was lamenting she wanted everyone to get well so she and my brother-in-law could start enjoying his recent retirement. He's almost 60 and she commented he only has about 10-15 good years left. When she said that, I told her that might be true here in this existence on this Earth, but we're not home yet. The best is yet to come. After I said that there was a sigh and she said, "I hope that's true." I told her it's a matter of believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that He died on the cross and rose again on the third day and that He is coming back...It's a matter of faith. She does believe in Jesus but she also struggles with doubt. If you also struggle with that same doubt, put your faith in Jesus Christ. Ask him into your heart and you'll be washed with the Holy Spirit. Your doubt will be replaced by an unbridled faith. You'll see the Lord move in your life and that marvelous sight alone will erase all doubt. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Mark 11:22-2322 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. 23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. _______________________________________________________
